何かが起きそう、あやかっておきたい4年に1度のマジック・デイ。2020年度、最初のNICK THE RECORD来日公演は2月29日土曜日の閏日に開催。

90年代、日本のレイブ黎明期に登場して以来、LIFE FORCE、SECO、TAICO CLUBとねぐらを変え、時代を超えて、グルーヴをキープしてきたレジェンダリー・ディスク・ジョッキー。そんなNICK THE RECORDが、最新の拠点に定める表参道VENTでの公演も早5度目、IDJUT BOYSのDAN TYLERとの共同運営で、巷を賑わせているプライベート・レーベル〈RECORD MISSION〉諸作よろしく、フロア・フレンドリーなディスコ・エディットから、午前3時の仄暗いレフトフィールド・ハウス、ダンスフロアに朝日が昇る曙系レアグルーヴまで、世界随一のコレクションを堪能するべく、今回もNICK THE RECORDがオープン・ラスト・セットを敢行。過去4回の公演にて、調和を重ねてきたVENTのSRスピーカー・サウンドシステムとAKARIYAのキャンドルデコレーションが新たなNICK THE RECORD体験を更新する。

Nick the Record will be dropping an all-night, opening till closing, set on the leap day, February 29th

Leap day only happens once in every 4 years, and we want to make this year’s leap day an extra magical one! This will Nick the Record’s first Japan performance of this year, only at VENT on February 29th!

This DJ legend has been keeping the groove alive since the early rave days of Japan back in the 90s, and has transcended eras playing at epic festivals like Life Force, SECO, and Taico Club. This time will be Nick the Record’s fifth appearance at Omotesando VENT, his latest base of operation. He co-operates the private label, Record Mission, along with Dan Tyler from Idjut Boys producing various works. His long-playing sets incorporate dance floor-friendly disco edits, leftfield house music perfect for that 3 am timeframe and state of mind, as well as rare tracks to welcome the early morning sun from his world-renown, record collection.
