コズミック・ディスコ・サウンドの創始者であるイタリア人DJ、Daniele Baldelliが1月31日に開催される vendor presents ON THE FLOORへの出演が決定！1969年にDJを始め、50年に渡るキャリアを持つ現代DJの真のオリジネーターの登場だ！

Daniele Baldelliの特徴的なコズミック・ディスコ・サウンドは、エレクトロニカ、極端に回転スピードを落としてプレイされるシンセポップ、独特のEQエフェクト、アフロビートやブラジリアンなどのエスニック・フォーク・ミュージックなどを緻密にミックスして作り出される。70年代後半から80年代前半にかけてイタリアの2つの伝説的なクラブでのレジデンシーによってそのDJスタイルを確立し、その後の50年のキャリアの中でダンス・ミュージックに多大な影響を与えてきた。今では当時よりも忙しく世界中をツアーで周っているという。

Daniele Baldelliを迎えるパーティーON THE FLOORは、ファッションのみならず、音楽やカルチャー、ライフスタイルを提案&発信する中目黒の人気セレクトショップvendorが2007年にスタートし、過去にはTheo ParrishやLord Echo、Tornado Wallace、Animals Dancingクルーなどを招聘してきた。今回は、ダンスミュージック・カルチャーからインスパイアされるスウェーデンのアパレル・ブランド” Junior Executive ”とのコラボレーション・イベントとなる。コズミックのパイオニアと、vendorが選びぬいたローカルDJたちが創り出す極上の音空間を体験してほしい！

With a DJ career spanning half a century, pioneer of cosmic disco sounds, Daniele Baldelli, will be coming to VENT!

Inventor of the cosmic disco sound, Italian DJ Daniele Baldelli will be making an appearance at “vendor presents ON THE FLOOR” on January 31st, at Omotesando VENT! Daniele’s illustrious DJ career began in 1969 and has spanned for 50 years! We are proud and extremely happy to host this absolute originator!

Daniele Baldelli’s signature cosmic disco sound blends electronica with synth pop slowed down to extremely slow speeds, a touch of EQ effects, and generous dollop of ethnic folk music like that from Brazil and Afrobeat. During the late 70s and early 80s, he established his DJ style while doing residencies at two legendary Italian clubs, and this style has had a massive influence on dance music as a whole. He has been busier now than ever before, jet setting and touring.

The ON THE FLOOR party, at which Baldelli will be performing, was kicked of back in 2007 by the very popular select shop, vendor, located in Nakameguro. They mainly deal with apparel, but also handle a wide assortment of goods, including gadgets, music, and books. In the past, they have invited important acts like Theo Parrish, Lord Echo, Tornado Wallace, and the Animals Dancing crew. This time around, there will be a collaboration with the Swedish fashion brand “Junior Executive”, which has been inspired by dance music culture. Come join us for an epic night, organized by vendor, featuring the pioneer of cosmic disco, as well as some talented local DJs for an unforgettable experience!
